  The United Methodist Church in Ridgecrest is my favorite place to be in the entire city. The large compound features a state-of-the-art sanctuary with lots of space to sit with your entire family, an education building with gated playground, a nursery complete with a certificated nursery attendant and adjacent “caretaker’s room” for parents who want to be alone with their newborns during worship (with closed-circuit TV included so even if you aren’t in worship physically, your spirit still is filled), the social hall is used as a multipurpose room hosting everything from after church fellowship, to youth lock-ins, to pre-high school football game dinners for the football players, to extended worship.
  
  Although the compound is spectacular, it’s the people of the church that really make this place an act of God. Pastor Rich LaShure has done a wonderful job in overseeing community outreach programs, in-church communities, and so forth. I encourage you to come and join in on worship Sunday mornings. During the summer there is one church service at 9am and during the school year there is two services – one at 8am and one at 10:30am. Check us out this Sunday!
